Nimrat Walia joined Richter Law Professional Corporation as an Associate lawyer in October 2017. Nimrat obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology and was recognized by The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture & Science for her outstanding academic achievements.
Nimrat graduated from The University of Birmingham Law School, a prestigious institution part of the Russell Group’s leading teaching and research-intensive universities in the United Kingdom. After a competitive selection process she was appointed as one of five Birmingham Free Legal Advice Group (FLAG) Coordinators to supervise the university legal clinic and serve as a Pro Bono Committee member. Following the completion of her articles with prominent senior criminal defence lawyers, she was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2017. As an articling student, Nimrat worked on a range of offences, including simple assault to homicides.
The Peel Justice Education Network has acknowledged Nimrat for her continuing contribution to the Peel Mock Trial Tournaments. She takes pride in educating her community and clients about their legal rights and liberties, and will fight for her clients in the relentless pursuit of justice.
